The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 unveiled its People’s Choice Award winners on May 22, 2026, after attendees selected their top displays across four distinct categories. This annual tradition lets visitors determine which gardens in Large Show Gardens, Small Show Gardens, Balcony and Container Gardens, and All About Plants Gardens earn the prestigious BBC/RHS People’s Choice Award. Each winning design receives public recognition for its appeal, marking a unique moment where audience preference shapes the show’s most celebrated projects.
The BBC / RHS People’s Choice Award was given to the gardens with the most public votes in each category. The winners included Parkinson’s UK – A Garden for Every Parkinson’s Journey designed by Arit Anderson in the Large Show Gardens Category.
Arit Anderson designed the garden in collaboration with the community it hopes to support, including people with Parkinson’s who are gardeners. The garden was created to meet their needs, with Anderson explaining that “the whole garden started with a workshop with people who had Parkinson’s who were gardeners.” This collaborative approach was particularly important to Anderson, as her sister has Parkinson’s, giving her a personal understanding of the neurodegenerative disorder.
Other winners included Trussell’s Together Garden designed by Rob Hardy, Alzheimer’s Society: Microbes and Minds Garden designed by Tina Worboys, and The Bat Conservation Trust’s Nocturnal Garden designed by Melanie Hick. Hick said she intended to create a garden design that is friendly to wildlife and has a diverse range of species, which visitors would want to replicate at home.
